Golf Terms and Conditions

General Rules

Starting Times and Check in

  • All players must book a tee time before starting play
  • Tee times at Limassol Greens Golf are at 9-minute intervals
  • The Club reserves the right to pair up players into 4 balls
  • Golf rounds are non-transferable between golfers
  • Playing without a booked tee time or without first checking in is prohibited

Players must start on the 1st tee and must not commence play before their allocated tee time unless instructed by the starter or course marshal.

Cancellation Policy

The following cancellation policy applies to all tee times reserved with Limassol Greens Golf:

  • 30 days cancellation notice prior to date of play required for advance pre-bookings otherwise full rates apply.
  • 7 days cancellation notice required for bookings made one month prior to play otherwise full rates apply.
  • 24 hours cancellation notice required for bookings made one week prior to play otherwise full rates apply.
  • Cancellations are only deemed cancelled after Limassol Greens Golf has confirmed the cancellation in writing. “No-shows” shall be charged at 100% of the indicated price confirmed upon reservation.

“No-Shows” are the reserved and confirmed tee times for which the guests have not turned up to play or were not cancelled within the cancelation period.

General Care of the Course & Etiquette

  • Players must repair divots, ball marks, and rake bunkers after use.
  • Avoid practice on the course as much as possible.
  • Customary golf etiquette should always be observed
  • Call “fore” if your ball goes towards properties or there is danger of hitting anyone on the golf course.
  • Range balls must be used only on the practice area
  • Litter must be disposed of in the bins provided

Handicaps, Speed of Play

  • Limassol Greens Golf Course handicap restrictions are: 36 for men and 45 for ladies.
  • The targeted time for a round of golf for visitors is around 4 and ½ hours for a 4 ball.
  • Possible lost ball: golfers have 3 minutes to search for a lost ball.
  • Limassol Greens Golf adopts the “ready golf” policy as recommended by the governing bodies of golf to assist with a good pace of play.

Dress Code

Proper golf attire is required on the course. Limassol Greens Golf realises the fast-moving trend with golf fashion, any golf attire purchased through a golf retail outlet is accepted. Other acceptable clothing includes collared shirts, tailored trousers or shorts, and appropriate footwear. Denim, football and or athletic clothing is not yet permitted.

Casual attire is allowed at the driving range areas, and within the clubhouse, but must be clean, neat, and in good condition.

Golf Carts

Limassol Greens Golf provides golf carts for all players. A maximum of two golf carts, with two golf bags per cart can be used in any one group. Players might need to share the golf cart with another player, whether a member, a guest, or visitor at the club.

At all par 3 holes, Golf carts must be kept on the paths provided, at all other holes, the golf carts can be driven on fairways unless instructed otherwise by the golf concierge. At times of the year. “cart path only” golf may be enforced, reasons for this include but are not restricted to,

a) reasons of maintenance, various turf care practices and applications

b) bad weather or excessive water across areas of the course

c) in preparation for events and tournaments.

Carts are not to be driven within 30 metres of the greens, or as indicated with cart directional signs on course. Limassol Greens Golf carts are equipped with GPS technology for player convenience. The buggy GPS system will also alert the staff of persistent “illegal” cart access to prohibited or restricted areas. If a players is repeatedly driving in restricted areas they may be asked to leave the course.

Health and safety operating instructions displayed on the buggies must be strictly followed.

Drivers must be minimum 18 years of age. No exceptions will be made to this rule!

Players are responsible for any damage made to the buggies or other hired items during their round

Spectator Policy

Spectators are allowed on the Limassol Greens Golf Course only under the below terms and conditions:

  • A seat on the golf cart for a spectator can only be approved at the time of check-in. Approval will only be possible if the second seat on the golf cart is not reserved by another player.
  • A maximum of two (2) occupants are allowed per golf cart.
  • All spectators can walk with the golfer player, for safety reasons the limit will be set at one spectator per player.
  • All spectators must comply with the established rules and dress code of Limassol Greens Golf.
  • Spectators are the responsibility of the player and are requested to always uphold golfing etiquette. The golfer releases Limassol Greens Golf and its patrons from any liability for any injuries sustained to, or by the spectator while on the course.
  • Minors under the age of twelve (12) require special permission to access the course as spectators. Under no circumstances are junior spectators permitted to operate a golf buggy.
  • Limassol Greens Golf reserves the absolute right to deny spectator access at any given time.

Juniors

  • Children under the age of 12 must always be supervised by an adult. Younger infants are welcome, provided they are of an age to walk the majority of the course and maintain concentration for the round of golf.
  • Juniors under 18 years that are not walking the course must always have an adult to drive the buggy for them on any area of the course.

Golf Bags

  • Each player must have their own golf bag with their own set of clubs. Sets of clubs can be hired at the Golf Proshop, subject to availability.

Lockers

  • Lockers are available in the changing rooms on a daily basis. A returnable deposit fee will be payable at the Golf Proshop, in the event of a lost key the deposit will not be refunded.

GDPR

  • Upon agreeing with these Terms and Conditions, all guests are consenting to Limassol Greens Golf (LG Golf Ltd) to stay in touch with them for the purposes of sending all the information in regards to the player booking, about news, events, activities, new products and services offered by The Company, advertising campaigns or promotional services.

Breach of general terms and conditions

Any player not respecting the etiquette, not respecting staff and fellow golfers, unable to play at suitable level, or unable to keep up the place of play, or refuse to follow the course marshal’s instructions will be asked to leave the course. No financial compensation will be offered under these circumstances.
